Usage of electronic devices


Refrain from using mobile phones and other electronic devices when requested by the crew members as they can cause the airplane's control to malfunction.

Q1: Is it safe to use electronic devices on board?
A1: Laptops, portable movie players, portable music players, and other approved devices can be used onboard the aircraft. The in-flight crew members will notify all passengers when it is safe to use these devices. If there are any questions about a certain device, please ask an in-flight crew member

Q2: Can I use my mobile phone on board?
A2: Portable radios, Mobile/cell phones, and other such devices cannot be used during flight at anytime. Even in ‘airplane’ mode, they may interfere with the navigation devices on the aircraft.

Q3: Can I use my laptop or iPad on board?
A3: The in-flight crew members will notify all passengers when it is safe to use these devices. If in doubt, please ask an in-flight crew member.

Q4: What other electronic devices can be used on board?
A4: During flight and with prior crew approval, you may use electric razors, non digital sound devices and computers not connected to printers or compact disc devices. Mobile phones must be switched off when plane doors have been closed before takeoff and until re-opening of doors upon landing. On some flights there are on-board phones you may use with credit card payment.
